About Beryllium Oxide (BeO) Ceramics

Beryllium oxide ceramics are ceramics with beryllium oxide (BeO) as the main component. It is mainly used as a material for large-scale integrated circuit substrates, high-power gas laser tubes, heat dissipation shells of transistors, microwave output windows and neutron reducers.

The melting point of beryllium oxide is 2530-2570℃, and the theoretical density is 3.02g/cm3. It can be used for a long time under vacuum at 1800℃, the inert atmosphere at 2000℃, and oxidizing atmosphere at 1800℃. The most outstanding performance of beryllium oxide ceramics is its large thermal conductivity, which is similar to that of metal aluminum and 6-10 times that of aluminum oxide. It is a dielectric material with unique electrical, thermal and mechanical properties.

Why Use Beryllium Oxide (BeO) Ceramics?

Beryllium oxide (BeO) ceramics have the characteristics of high thermal conductivity, high melting point, high strength, high insulation, high chemical and thermal stability, low dielectric constant, low dielectric loss and good process adaptability. It is widely used in special metallurgy, vacuum electronic technology, nuclear technology, microelectronics and optoelectronic technology.
